Each day we live, we are faced with a series of choices to be made. While some choices are more trivial, others are imperative and can shape our entire life. Choices on our food and nourishment, do belong in the latter category as they can make the difference between health or sickness, happiness or sadness, life or death.
While, more money is spent in our country on healthcare per capita than any other country in the world, our health as a whole has been declining instead of improving. Despite the abundance of nutritional information, most people are confused about what to eat and in their desperation to lose excess weight many are willing to try all kinds of extreme diets.
More ofthen than not, most of us never experience the results that we anticipated and were promised. Instead the disappointing results from the endless dieting, leads to further frustration and many people are starting to believe that living a healthy life is a complicated and tricky business, let alone mind-numbing and unappealing. Tired of the yo-yo dieting and disgruntled we give up. So what is it that we are doing wrong and how can we Feel, Look and Be better?
The truth is, diets are the ones that fall short and fail people, not the other way around. Following one cookie-cutter diet that might have worked for our neighbor, is like wearing our neighbor's pair of shoes regardless of the size or fit! It is Absurd and entirely unreasonable!
Instead, by understanding this new perspective and taking a new approach, we can empower ourselves and learn once and for all, how to take our health back into our own hands. We start from recognizing that the power to change our lives lies in the choices we make every day. We can learn how to take better care of ourselves every day, live with more awareness, more consciousness around our choices and defining what it means for us to be healthy and well.
